Winter Begins in Gaza

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far—you’ve already made a big difference for Muhammad’ and hi’s Palestinian family. Emily and I just transferred roughly half of the donations that have arrived so far (there’s a short delay while the platform processes it). This amount paid for some food…to give you an idea of the prices, flour is now $300, so literally every bit of cash helps.

We still really need your help to share this fundraiser with your friends, family, and anyone you think might want to help. The more people who see it, the better chance we have of reaching our goal.

Winter has hit Gaza, bringing heavy rain that’s flooding the already fragile tents where Muhammad and his family are living, as you can see in this video. The family’s nylon shelter is drenched, and they’re left trying to stay warm and dry in the cold. There’s no break in sight—rain is expected to continue this week, making their situation even harder. With prices for basic goods skyrocketing, virtually no blankets, and no income, survival is a daily battle that we need your help with. If you can share this fundraiser—even just once—it could reach someone who wants to help.

It’s ‘Thanksgiving’ soon – for those reflecting on this day’s history of Indigenous oppression and resistance, donating is also an opportunity to act in solidarity with those facing systemic injustices right now. Thank you again for being part of this effort. Muhammad and his family appreciate every bit of kindness and support.
